Development of environmentally friendly business is a priority of AB LOTOS Geonafta.

In our activities we pay particular attention to environment protection and ecological operation of production fields. The company continuously invests into drilling and production technologies that cause no negative impact upon the environment. The company also contributes to direct energy consumption: the gas escaping from oil is used in production of energy.

AB LOTOS Geonafta continuously controls (monitors) the state of environment components such as surface and ground water, ambient air, and soil. Long-term study results recorded in annual reports show that oil production underway in the oil production wells and production fields as well as their sanitary protection zones has no significant impact upon the environment components.

The company has also obtained special accident mitigation equipment in order to prevent fires and ecological accidents. Company employees undergo regular training and, during exercises, practice the actions necessary to be performed in order to prevent accidents and incidents.
